Adobe Flash Player for the Windows platform comes in two versions:

1. Plug-in for Internet Explorer (and other browsers that support Internet Explorer ActiveX controls and plug-ins)

2. Plug-in for other browsers, like Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Opera (and other plugin-based browsers)

To play the game through Internet Explorer or through the client you need the first version, which supports ActiveX. To play through the other browsers you will need the second version.

The following is an explanation of how to install, check the version and update the Adobe Flash Player.

Checking the version of Adobe Flash Player

To check whether you have Adobe Flash Player and how up to date it is, just go to this link

Once again drawing attention to the fact that that some browsers require different installations of the flash player. For example, if you installed it on Internet Explorer, you won't be able to use it on Firefox. The page in the link will tell you the version of the Flash Player installed on the browser you are using to view it. I.e. to verify the version of Flash in FireFox, it's necessary to open this link in Firefox. To check the version of Flash for Internet Explorer or the client, you must open this link in Internet Explorer. In the Version Information frame, you can see the version you currently have. Below is a table that lists the current version of the Adobe Flash Player on different operating systems and browsers. If your flash matches the version for your browser and operating system specified in the table, it means that you have the latest version of the Flash Player. If not, you need to update it.

Installation and Update of the Adobe Flash Player

Let's assume that you already know exactly which version of the Adobe Flash Player you need. If not, then read from the beginning again.

Your first option is to go to this link. The site will automatically give you the correct download, and offer desired components and installation instructions for your browser. The second option is to go to this link where you can choose your desired version. It won't matter what browser you are using in this case.

Now about the update. Currently, the best way to update the flash is to use one of two options proposed above. There is also an option you may use to update. It's an utility located in: c: \ Windows \ System32 \ Macromed \ Flash \. The file is called FlashUtil10c.exe. Numbers and letters may vary, depending on the version. If you run this file, it automatically downloads and installs the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player ActiveX.
